Pet Peeves

What do your co-workers do that drives you crazy? And what are you doing to annoy them?

By Audrey Brown

Think you're safe retrieving that "wedgie"? I once watched a co-worker attempt to free her lodged underpants for nearly 10 minutes. From that day forward and unbeknownst to her, she was known as "the woman with the 10-minute wedgie."

It's not good to be paranoid, but for better or worse you have a reputation at the office. That Internet surfing can really come back to bite you. Once on a co-worker's monitor, up popped "Why men need to exfoliate" alongside "Pudgy Polar Bear gets put on a diet." Come to think of it, I shouldn't have been staring at my co-workers' monitors! Many women feel that it is a sign of mistrust.

After polling several women who also work in office settings, the pet peeves seemed endless. For example, the woman who wears too much perfume. You may like Chanel No. 5, but not everyone else does. Those with allergies may not appreciate your fine taste in fragrance. Also at the top of the list, women who talk too much! If you've got drama at home, save it for a trained professional or at least a close friend that you don't work with. There is still such a thing as too much information.
