What do professional women really think about compensation, balance, mentoring and career goals? Through our collaboration with KPMG, we polled 1,000 women at PINK luncheon conferences in five cities (Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Chicago and Dallas). Here are the results.

Surprisingly, the women responded largely the same way in each city. Sadly, in each locale, women said they don't feel they're taking enough care of their own health and fitness. More than half of the women surveyed said they are not fairly compensated for their work. Many aspire to become business owners and are mentoring others and being mentored. By and large, they do not feel they've had to put their career goals on hold for personal reasons. Most of those polled said passion (even more than risk-taking, a supportive partner or the right training) was the most helpful in their career.
